PROPS - Foam Roller / Fascia Fitness
Fascia Fitness Workouts are designed to Renew and Reinvigorate the Deep Fascia Tissue, Integrating the Entire Body and the Fascial Meridians. Whilst Creating an Unstable Surface upon which we Exercise, the Foam Roller Simultaneously activates the Deep Stabilisation Muscles, The Core, whilst placing pressure on the Fascia, much like a Massage, relieving Muscle pain & tension, releasing toxins and renewing Collagen within the body on a Cellular Level. Foam Roller Safety
If you Suffer from weak or Varicose Veins it is important to attain clearance from your doctor before rolling over the lower part of the leg. Just like with a pressure stocking, the right kind of pressure is important, and your doctor can guide you. If you suffer from Lymph Congestion in your legs, it is important not to role in all number of directions but rather from the bottom toward the top of the body, toward the torso, in the direction of Lymphatic Drainage. Be sure to attain your Doctors Clearance first.
Selecting a Foam Roller
I recommend Medium Density. However, if whist rolling out you feel any pinching or sharp pain, it is too firm and you will need a softer option. The Foam Roller should feel like a massage and a release for your body, any pain, should be the 'good pain' the phrase one might use from a good firm massage, but any sharp or burning pain is a signal to stop and use a softer Foam Roller. The Foam Roller should bring feelings of Release, Relief and Rejuvenation.
